The Ministry of Justice Claims Management Regulation Monitoring and Compliance Unit says that some claims management companies must register with them.

- You are based in England or Wales and your client (the applicant) also lives in England or Wales.
- You are based in Scotland and your client (the applicant) lives in England or Wales.
You do not need to register if you are based in Scotland and your client (the applicant) also lives in Scotland.
